Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer, and songwriter for many years. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that left her feeling like a non-person. When she attended a 9th grade school audition, where she received high praise for her voice as she built confidence. It not only boosted her confidence but also changed the direction of her career. In the year 22 she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23 she made her film debut in You've received mail. The role in The Lad of The Lake is her biggest success, and earned her an award called the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her performance. She gained more recognition for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. In addition to having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album and an extended piece. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT issues.
