Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, actress and songwriter. She is most famous for her role as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy program "The Goldbergs". She considers herself to be a musician first and foremost. When she was nine years old older, she started exploring music. As she grew to 12 old, the art of music was taken seriously enough, that she started professionally trained. Following a few attempts at songwriting, she only recorded the album with songs at age fourteen. It has been non-stop since then. Orrantia is of Hispanic origins, but was born in USA. Her family has Hispanic roots even though she spoke English when a young girl and lived her life in the USA. Through studying Spanish and composing songs, she tries to keep the culture alive. "Hasta Verte" is a song in Spanish that she has recorded, can be a perfect example. Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. Her YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses" which is a vote, from the judges at The Seattle audition. She was originally an individual performer. However, in the course of "Hollywood Week" and three other female performers were put in a group to continue the auditions. They were eliminated in the 5th week of the live show.
